Introduction Complementing our interview series, the Veterans of Hope Project sponsors a variety of community dialogues, public lectures, cultural programs, retreats and workshops to engage citizens with the resources of spirit, culture and history represented in the experience of people worldwide who are struggling to create more humane societies. Often designed around the visits to Denver of people who are being interviewed for the Project, we offer opportunities for many members of the local community to interact with the Veterans and to share insights and wisdom from their own experiences. We also conduct workshops, lectures and presentations for organizations, schools, universities, religious communities and others who are interested in models of compassionate social change and leadership development; social justice education; and the conjunction of spirituality, healing and democratic social change.
