Ms. Ruth Denny (1920 – 2012) was a Presbyterian lay leader and Denver-based community organizer who was active in a wide range of civic and human rights organizations. Ms. Denny was director of the Denver chapter of the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) during the late 1960s. She also served on the local Denver boards of UNICEF and the NAACP. As an educator, Denny worked for the Denver Public Schools for 26 years, helping to desegregate the system of education in the city.
