Ms. Constance (Connie) Curry (b. 1933) is a writer, activist and former fellow at the Institute for Women’s Studies, Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. She has a law degree from Woodrow Wilson College. Ms. Curry was also a Southern Field Representative for the American Friends Service Committee during the Freedom Movement and served as advisor on the executive committee of SNCC during its campus-based years. She is the co-author of several books including Silver Rights, the story of a black family’s struggle for desegregated education in Sunflower County, MS.
