The eldest among us carry deep wisdom of experience with them – this is especially true of the most senior women in our communities of African descent who have often borne unique burdens in their labors on earth.  Because they have seen before us, sometimes they are able to see beyond us.

On Sunday, 19 May 2019 at 2pm, we will bring together several elder women of Denver along with Mãe Val, a Candomblé priestess of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, and Dr. Rachel Harding (translating) to share experiences of the past and point us forward in paths of wise clarity, dignity, and justice.  Please join us for a High Tea at Campbell Chapel AME Church (1500 E. 22nd Ave., Denver, CO 80205) during which we will listen to the voices of these trailblazers and seers.

Date:  Sunday, May 19, 2019

Time:  2-5pm

Location:  Campbell Chapel AME Church, 1500 E. 22nd Ave, Denver CO

This event is a collaboration between Campbell Chapel and the Veterans of Hope Project.  This is also the 5th anniversary of the passing of our Dr. Vincent Harding.  We will honor his memory.
