Cleo Parker Robinson (b. 1948) is an acclaimed choreographer, master teacher and social justice worker.  Robinson founded the Denver-based Cleo Parker Robinson Dance ensemble over 45 years ago in the midst of the Black Arts movement and as part of the Denver Model Cities initiative. Her company is now an internationally recognized, dance-arts and educational institution rooted in African American culture, and dedicated to excellence in instruction, performances and inclusive community programs. CPRD is one of the nation’s premier modern dance companies and Robinson is one of the treasures of the African American dance tradition.
